Silambarasan's next film is Kaalai. There are lots of expectations from this Pongal release. Directed by Tharun Gopi, this film has Vedhika as the female lead. After Vallavan, this is Simbu's first release. Simbu was in the news in 2007, less for his movies and more for other news. But the actor has managed to leave all the controversy behind. Kettavan may have been stalled for the time being, but the actor is all geared up for the release of Kaalai for which he is currently shooting in Australia. Following Kaalai Simbu, will play the lead in Silambattam in which he plays a priest, a character which is faraway from his usual onscreen roles. Mumbai girl, Sanaa Khan makes her debut in this film.
